Spring slider ??

I was looking at spring slider at the shop where i buy some of my parts. I was wondering if anyone of you has ever used it ?
Any benefit to the shifting , or is it just a nice looking part??
the guy could not tell me, he only had since last week on the shelves. Anyhow, if i remember well it was made by Koso, and came all alone without the torque spring

its adds a lil more tension to the torque spring and also is supposed to help it prevent windup. Good mod if you have extra money.
