Okay, as you guys know my zuma is modded probably the most of all of them on here...

Now I have a problem... I did the variator trick ERich mentioned... Now in the low speeds I feel that the clutch or belt is slipping... The engine is reving like mad... In an awesome power band... but it takes from 10-25 for it to get power... NOt that I'm loosing power but it's like it's slipping...

I swear it's either the clutch not gripping enough or the belt is spinning.... I will check both tomorrow when I get up (day sleeper) and see if I can tell which it is...

The question is... how do I fix these if it's one of them? Belts? Change to kevlar again?

Clutch, I have the delta clutch, should I go with lighter springs? or a new clutch shoe?

any thoughts?

The Kevlar will slip the same amount. This has been a problem for me since day 1 with mods.....

I was told that the stock clutch ahs the best bite.... all you need to do is drill a bunch of hole in the stock clutch shoes to lighten it up.

I'm thinking of getting the one from provo that has the cooling fins on it... but am unsure if there are better ones out there.... I read on a site that there is a "posi-grip" clutch shoe... That sounds like it might be the best option... then again... The clutches in scooters are more like brakes... So I donno....

What about add a shim to the torque spring, if that doesn't work, get a heavier torque spring, like a malossi red, and then adjust the roller, I think that may help.

Jered, I came to the conclution that the lighter the roller weights, the more the belt will slip.................heavy rollers = no slip
