I saw a yellow BW here in Vancouver tonight. The guy had added (or I think he added them) some kind of little metal pegs that stuck out the side of the scooter right around where the kickstarter is but a little bit higher and on both sides. This enabled him to ride with his feet on them - so his legs were kinda tucked under him instead of flat on the floor boards. Sort of like he was riding a horse. Anyone know what I am talking about ? Anyone know if they can be installed on the Vino ?

I've seen regular bike pegs added to scooters... tqake a bolt with the same threads, run it through a metal strap (wrap around the frame and tighten), then thread the pegs on...
or you can bolt it through the frame but I'm not fond of drilling into the frame...

What you saw was the foot pegs for the passenger. Kymco puts these on most of their scooters for a passenger. A guy in my club has a Super-9 and he rides with his feet on the passenger foot pegs because he's going for that look at me, I'm riding a crotch rocket scooter look. The problem is that these foot pegs are farther back than they would be for a proper crotch rocket riding position and isn't too wise to ride as the rider's balance on the scooter is not secure. On a crotch rocket part of what keeps you on the bike in turns is that your knees are wrapped around and on to the fuel tank keeping you from falling off, but on the scooter you are using you ankles to do this. I've only ever seen a person slide off the scooter once riding this way, but Kymco has a disclaimer about riding this way. I'm pretty sure Kymco is but only one of most scooter makers that have passenger foot pegs.

My 1990 Zuma has these.
But they fold the wrong way for the driver to use.

The ones that you have on ur 90 i also have on my 01, the ones they are talking about are different. THey're higher up and more of a sport bike style passenger peg. I wonder if the prebug ones could be replaced with some sport bike style ones.
