Boy am I glad there is now a forum for Ventos, I used to search endlessly for answers before. Anyway, I have a couple of issues on my 2005 150cc strada, similar to Vento's phantom r4i.

First off, i hate the alarm feature.... It automatically activates within 10 seconds of shutting off the scooter. Is it supposed to do that, cause it keeps draining my battery and is way too sensative. What is the best way to disable alarm and how and where is it located?

Second, I have no luck with the kick start... Am i doing something wrong or does mine just suck? I put the key in the on position, hold the brake and start stomping away to no avail  I tried it without holding the brake also. The other day it started with just one stomp. Beats me. What is the proper way to kick start?

Third.. wierd thing about the remote is even if I start the scooter with the elec. start (not using the remote) I am able to shut the scooter off by pressing the unlock button on the keypad.... very wierd! Any Ideas?

Last, I bought a black and decker trickle charger cause my battery was drained, but the charger keeps going to "fault" while charging the scooter battery at 2amps. The charger does my other batteries just fine. I was about to buy another battery but i gave it a last shot by leaving it connected to my car overnight. The battery now seems strong and starts the scooter up just fine. Anyone else use this method? The charger still goes to "fault" when connecting the scooter battery.

Any replies will be greatly appriciated, Thank you.

To solve your battery and remote issues, stop using the remote start. Its usless and just drains batteries. Second, if you start the bike using the remote you must also use it to kill the engine or the system is still activated. Easy way to tell if you have it on is if the gas gauge is up or not. Hope that helps some.

I have to use the remote to disarm the scooter every time I shut it off because the alarm automatically arms within 10 seconds after shut off. Thanks for the reply though, do you mean to check if the gas gage is working when the key is not in the key cylinder?
