Remove Piston 1 Ring from a 2 Ring Piston
P.S. what will happend if i remove 1 of the Rings off a 2 Ring Piston
How will it run any body ever tried!!! let me know thanks.. :)
is it faster Or Slower!! :cool:

From what I know of 4 stroke engines... the rings are for compression and wiping the cylinder of oil...
Now for what 2 storkes use them for should be the same for the most part... But more so for compression... IMO anyway...
I think that unless your engine is designed for 1 ring that you'll loose compression... SERIOUS BLOW BY!
Thats what my brains tell me would happen anyway.. Never done it, never heard of anyone doing it, but someone must have and I'm sure someone will try it!

I wouldn't if I were you. If anything you will lose power. There will be no advantage to removing one ring.

polini marks some of ther kits with 1 ring piston. and the top end pull is low as all get out. but the bottem end is great.
i would stick with two piston rings.

unless your piston only has the rib for one ring dont run just one
