Where is the Zuma made

Is the Zuma made in taiwan? I thought it is made in Japan? Is there Japanesse Zumas? The older ones are made in
France? On my friend 2001 Zuma says made in France

the newer bug eye'd zumas are made in taiwan, thats why they cost a lot less than the older cost when they were new.
