when i first got my scooter i noticed that night that my blinkers did not work at all and that the middle headlight never turned on.. since then.. the dealer i bought it from has fixed free of charge.. the day i got my scooter back it worked fine and i drove it around.. then the next day i had work and it wouldnt start or anything.. so i tryed to kick start it and it wouldnt go.. so i know its not the battery.. but i dont know what else it could be. .the dealer is in cali right now so i cant take it to him.. plus.. if this is an easy problem to fix.. i dont want to have to pay a lot of money for it.. i live in the honolulu area and my boyfriend will be here on tuesday and we will try to fix it ourselves [he knows a lot about cars and mopeds and things like that] does anyone have any sugestions of what the problem might be and how my bf and i can maybe do a DIY.. or if i should just call the dealer when hes back from cali... thanks for any help

have you checked your fuse? If the fuse is blown, the scooter WILL not start...

Did you sqeeze the brake lever to let the electric starter work? Is the kill switch on the right handle bar "ON". When you turn the key on, does the tail light "light" up.

when you hit the button for the starter does it spin? If not is there a clicking sound at the starter relay (normally on the right side of the scooter at about the front of the cylinder at knee height on the scooter)?

You said it won't start with kickstarting it either?

take the plug out of the engine, if it black and goopy looking or clean and grey/tan colored? If black and goopy... then replace the plug, it's fouled... if it's clean, then plug the spark plug into the plug cap (not installing the plug in the cylinder) take a glove and hold the plug cap (not the plug) next to a bolt... crank the motor with electric start or by the kick start... is there a spark at the spark plug and going to the bolt? if not then you are not getting spark...

at this point... if it's not the spark plug... then take it to the dealer and tell them it's not working... and to fix it under the warrenty as what ever they did last time made it work for a day then it died completely....

You either need a new battery, or need to charge it for sure. I'm guessing the scooter is just flooded, probably fouled a plug. Did you get a new one yet??

It will start with a low battery, but don't use the electric start.

Picked up a new plug, gapped it, changed it, fired up 1st shot.. Still no charge on the batt tho, levels are all good so im thinkin its toasted.. Other than that no issues, thanks for all the good tips!!!
