When I made the 200 mile trip from DC to Pgh, I noticed so many damn MSP out on the roads. I saw about 30 round trip then when I went to the eastern shore even more so I talked to a friend of mine with the MPD. Apparently with the terror level being raised for DC and MD, the quotas for traffic stops were raised. Since all traffic stops here we run plates o on the MVA computer as well as NCIC, the hope is that double traffic stops double the chances of a hit against the FBI terrorist watch list. In the week before the attacks, two of the hijackers were stopped on I-95 north of Baltimore, but since MSP had no link to NCIC in those days, they got a ticket and were sent on their way. So traffic stops are really being kicked up, and cops are looking for any reason to make a top. I've been stopped twice in the past week, and until this past week, I've been on the road over ten years without being stopped, go fig. Glad I have an FOP sticker on the car!

I understand the reasoning but it suicks when cops are just begging to pull someone over... Thanks when you get stupid tickets and stupid people getting tickets..

Meaning fighting style people... They get dumber when recieving dumb tickets... Ya know...

It's not the cops, it's public outcry for security, amazes me none the less when the public b!tches about safety and terror, but then cry about losing their civil rights. Can't go both ways.

The goal of this thread is too see how long we can make it, buy just aimlessly chattering about anything or nothing. Only rule is one reply per person at a time, in other words no double posting, (two or more replies in a row by the same person)

So jered, what do you think about those Ball Park franks? You guys have those in Alaska? Guess not! You don't have any baseball teams out there :p Marylandmark and i will be laughing at ya from our cozy seats at Camden Yards at the next O's game :D

Hmmmm...

Within 20 miles I have Andrews AFB with Air Force 1, Marine 1 is a little bit further up the road, snipers, White House, Pentagon, and so on...

For me it comes down to if someone is willing to give their life for their cause it is going to be real hard to stop them:

A Hummer with tires filled with foam like on SWAT vehicles, bullet proof glass and kevlar plates all around and so on. Put a bomb in it with a hand held trigger so when he gets to where he wants to detonate it/gets shot and releases his hand it goes off and drives straight through through the service entrance of the White House.

So- all these checks might help out some but I still think if there is a will then there is a way....

HAHAHA

Living in this area you all day long you hear crap like that.

How smart is this:

After 9/11 the news people were saying if they bombed the 3-4 tunnels/bridges going into San Fran or NY that X amount of people would be trapped in the city. Then they said the city only had like 1/3 the amount of hotels needed for the people, could only suport fresh water for 1/5 of them, food would run out in 2 days and all this other stuff. Boats would only be able to take X amount of people out of the city and so on.

Like hello- give them an idea why don't you.....

I think I feel safer already.....

You need to come down to Maryland for some real crabs- the Maryland Blue Crab.

My chicky is a teacher and works part time at Captain Billy's in Pope Creek, Maryland and can hook you up with the #1 Jimmy's. That is the largest male crabs and AWESOME!

Yo, Jered ! Looks like some wicked mods there...

...can you tell me how you put both headlites on? Any electrical glitches? (I believe in VISability...)

Being neeew to all this (I DID get a M permit, at least...) with 16 mi. on the Zuma...I'm interested in a few more mph..(as are 99.44% of all riders), and I can't help noticing that youv'e done a huge lot, but do not have another CDI, which is where Taffspeed, for one, suggests one starts) ?!?

'twould seem there are at least two schools of thought here...

Larry

Nothing wrong with the electrical as I can tell... Both lights are bright as can be and can probably see better on my Zuma, than my durango...

Erich at provoscooter is supposed to have a CDI unit in stock (or should have already recieved it)... He is supposed to test it on his "LAB RAT" bike and then put it up for sale on the site... If it's not rolling by the 1st I think I'll get one from moped hospital ($75.00 from them) to get it rolling... I want the unlimited RPM style not one that just raised the rev limiter... I've never done anything with taftspeed, something about others having issues with them once a guy named Jerry (I think) that worked there apparently died and the place went to sh*t...

i also own my own bike shop, i sell haro, pro mongoose's, K2 or at lest what is still around.
i make my own handle bras and crank arms.

i also make costom lifts for scooter rear spention 51\2" lift on the back of a honda elite is tight. i have made a 4 1\2 in" all around lift for the whole spention on a 2003 zuma. thing is awesome now. the only bad thing is i have to modify the stand.

Im not you can contact my friend if you would like.
i got started becuase my friends mom is deff so i had to learn to sign,
me and a few guys started the scooter shop called "The Elite Shop" by just repair scooters, this one guy dose most off repair work, he has a honda elite sr that has modified every thing.
I do agree that it sounds crazy for a  15 year old to own his own bike and scooter shop, well the bike shop is closing Jan 2005 if i make more money on scoots.
my father has give my own shop. he used to work on cars but he has quick so he gave me the shop :D .
being the on scooter shop with in 800 miles besides heaters witch only sell scooters not repairing or hiperformance parts, i do good. i have about 40 people aweak have somthing done most are just lazy and dont take the time to do somthing.

evey one that is a first time vistor gets the first job done free also long as it is under a 3 hour job. seem people really like that.
im going to start painting them but the guy who can do it is asking alot to do it.

Zuma88
10-02-2004, 10:22 AM
i am full owner my mom dosen't like the shop, and my dad isn't ever here.

we all make = amounts inorder to pay for buying performance parts.
one sell we just had is to a ladie that hade a 1995 honda elite s, and wanted to to spend a grand on mods to it. so we installed 80cc kit ported and polished, jollymoto exhuast, Malossi MHR variator with 6 gram waights, KOSO Wheelie King Racing Clutch, 30mm OKO carb with doppler filter, Malossi Power Brakes fornt and rear, amd dig tac.

she didn't want to gear up so the thing wheelies like crazy, she only wieght form 100-120lbs, so the 80 dont even pully hard with her on it

What kind of tricks and stunts have you done in the Faggio? (That's the scooter!) Every garage I have is filled to the brim with Faggio's of every color. By the way if you mow the cops down in the game, it's ok, I do it too, LOL, their AI is pathetic! I remember when the TI 99 computers were the latest and greatest! With the cartridge programs and the modem that took the old school telephones (the old spinner number ones) the telephone litterally sat into a cradle and you could dial into BBS (bullitin board systems) and do all of nothing! Sad part was the house had to be quiet or the modem would get interference!

Elliot also you forgot between the C=64 and the C=128 two models called the Plus 4 and the Plus 16, which hadf a more PC style layout. Also early on the Amiga was one model but after the first model release the Amiga became an entire product like similar to the Mac line of Apple computers. Towards the end Amiga was exclusive to the UK market, and had run upwards to 32Mhz.

EYPX games ruled! Yeah ,8 tells the Commodore to use the floppy, programs made in BASIC need only the ,8 but programs in ASCII or machine binary needed the ,8,1 or they won't load in to memory properly. In a few moments the floppy drive will pop up with file not found error.

My sprinkler system was shut down on 11/8.

Nice that the dog is not wet every time he comes in the house.

Compressed air-

I hire someone to do it but it is not really hard to do:

Compressor set for 50 PSI at 10-25 CFM (cubic feet per minute) volume

open a set of valves for about 10 minutes- you will see the water shoot out, then mist and finally just air blow out of the valves.

Open the next set and there you go.
