I have a question about two things. First, I ordered the cable from provo. In the How too section, the picture at the bottom of the procedure has the new cable running thru the two metal bends. How do you do this with the new cable without removing the barrel? In addition to this it requires that the new carb to have the threaded 90 degree bend that came in the box with the carb. Again, I will have to cut the new cable. Am I right?

So let's say I go and get another cable. I butchered the new one trying to get it back in the case last night. I Install the cable thru the metal bend. (the one that the stock throttle cable went thru). Then I put the new bend on supplied with the carb and install it in the carb. WHAT COMES OF THE OLD RETURN CABLE AND ASSEMBLY THAT USED TO BE ATTACHED TO THE TO OF THE STOCK CARB? Does it just flop arround?

If this is the way it's suppose to be installed then I'm not pleased. After reading post of people breaking cables after 200 miles I can see why.

Oh yeah, I appreciate all of the people that respond to my posts and take time out of their lives for someone they don't even know. If you were close, I'd buy you a beer.

two things...
1. don't rig your cable w/ a chance of anything falling into the carb... if anything falls into that while it is running it will suck straight into the cylinder. that is bad.

2. w/ the cable from provo, i'm hoping it will not have to be cut?

3. you shouldn't have to route the cable through 2 metal tubes... you should only use the one on top of the carb. i'm not sure why you would use both. take pliers and remove the stock metal bend from the cable.... it should feed into the carband the silver metal bend that is supplied w/ it. (this is assuming you are using the stock cable) and measure so that the cable hits the bottom with the top of the carb attached and cut. apply a little glue at the top of the metal bend where the cable enters the metal bend to seal out unwanted air. the problem i don't agree w/ is the soldering of a stop or what ever on. if it comes off you are back to # 1.... the knot would be the safest way but i don't think this is how i want mine to be.. if it comes undone then you're stuck where ever you are at... hope that helps..
