I installed the leo vince pipe and did the variator mod with heavier weights about 500 miles ago. Only recently have I noticed that it is sluggish on the take off. I did just replace the spark plug a week ago and cant remember if it felt sluggish before that. Could it be the clutch is worn out? the scooter only has 2600 miles. Do you think It could be the spark plug that needs to be regapped?

Flat rollers. They'll kill your performance. With a tach you always know they're flat when a couple hundred rpm disappear on the takeoff.

Or both of those plus the fact no torque spring swap was mentioned. Lighten up the rollers, stiffer clutch/torque springs.

But the take off was alot faster when I installed the variator and pipe, it seemed alot faster. Its been more than 500 miles since then. Can it take this long for the slowing to occur???

It can take that long to ruin rollers. Some last, some don't. Its not just 500 miles, its 500 miles of slingshot takeoff's. Which vario do you have? It could be clutch slippage, engine performance could be off due to temps, engine wear etc.. Clutch springs could do it also. If you're in doubt about the plug, put your old one back in and try it. Also make sure you put the cap on tight, it may be just hanging on!!

As far as what zuma zuma said about the rollers. Do you have the technomoto variator? From what I undersand, the take apart rollers that come with that kit are more for temporary tuning to find a weight that works and then should be replaced with "good" rollers. I didn't take me long to find flat spots on them before I put in malossi ones.

definitely worth checking your rollers, then sand them down if theres flat spots. Also try lowering weight, as belt breaks in more it loosens and shifting down the roller weight may help, it helped me out. Now using 3.5g rollers.

Did you try cleaning the airfilter?
May be way off base on this one but it is the most neglected part of any motor.

I have too been dealing with that problem, but when i purchased my zuma during the summer i had the leo vinci exhaust, rollers, and springs installed there. It seems like mine has been sluggish since i picked mine up from the dealer
