I'm going to put on some sava WW's,3.5X10's...on the stock rims. Any trouble with doing that? Someone said I need to add a washer and longer axle on the front wheel. I'm not sure why, as the rim is the same. I understand the seating of the front fork may need to be adjusted to allow a taller profile, but am in the dark about the axle thing.
My scoot is a new 02 silver/black classic(7 miles...now 149),with updated exhaust, roller weight and clutch springs, some nice pinstriping, japanese turn signals, beefed up rear shock, soon to do the ww's! So far it'll do 53 to 55mph.
Still looking for a good looking rear trunk in black or silver or both. I'm working on a front 'trunk', too. Under the gas gauge area...kind of like the ones on chetak's. As I don't want to drill holes in the stock stuff, I'm experimenting with industrial velcro to hold it on.
This is a great forum...I enjoy reading everybody's input!!

One White Wall Thread (http://www.provoscooter.com/vbull/showthread.php?t=246&highlight=sava)
And Here's Another Thread (http://www.provoscooter.com/vbull/showthread.php?t=129&highlight=sava)

These two were the big ones pertaining to the Sava. Here's one of my replies from another thread:

...got the 3.5" up front but had to double space, at first there was a concern that the front brake may want to unravel but that has never happened. But... I encountered an issue that appears to be unique to me. Under hard braking my front like all motorcycles and scooters will dive down, for some reason inside fender under dive digs in to the top of the tire. I can only assume this is because of how the fender tapers. Regardless, after a week of riding, I easily modified my riding style, and brake a little sooner. I have done several tests where I went in to EBS, where I applied full braking at 40mph, with no problems. She stayed straight, and perfect so I see no issue with this.

I was apprehensive of having a tube type tire, sort of reminded mer too much of the tires used on a 14" boys Huffy bike that kids own when they are six, but I have to admit the Sava tires have been better than I expected. My only gripe is that they are a b!tch to clean. It is hard to get to the walls because of the forks, CVT and muffler...

I have Sava's on mine.
All I can say is don't even bother with the 3.5 on the front, put a 3.00x10 on there, no problems, no issues, no compromising your safety and they look killer.
As for the rear, well, I have a 100/90/10 Sava whitewall that's a front tire for the Vespa ET series, that equates to a 4.00x10 tubeless!
But the 3.50x10 would be just as good and the whitewall color will match the front (being a 'tubeless' the 100/90/10 whitewall tends to go brown) and the actual 'white wall' isn't as deep as the 3.50 or the 3.00 for that matter.
Also on the yahoo yamahavino group the guy's there don't even run tubes in their 3.00's and 3.50's, I looked on my 3.00 and it say's 'install tube for tube type rim'.
the Vino rims are 'tubeless' rims.......go figure.
In short....
3.00x10 Sava whitewall, no tube, for the front.
3.50x10 Sava whitewall, no tube, for the rear.
cheers,
