Elliot,
You must have never lived in Provo, Ut. I lived there for a few years and the drivers there are the worst I've seen anywhere, hands down.

Your not whistling Dixie. I'm living in Provo right now and you put your life into you own hands even more the usual. You have to be insane or crazy (or both) to scoot here.

I've split this topic from another thread for the sake of the poll.

I voted for the Rocky Mountains since I live in Utah, but when I was in Italy I was terrified by the way people drive there. There are no rules. Lanes are not obeyed, traffic lights are just suggestions, pedestrians need to fend for themselves if they don't want to get hit. Everyone says that vespas that come from Italy are thrashed and I belive them.

I've never been to the east coast... Except South & north caroline, georgia, and florida... Other than that I have no experience there...
Since I have no care for anything east of Texas! HAHAHA!

ANyway... SEATTLE drivers BLOW! BIG TIME! They have to be the worst!
I have lived in the Seattle area for four years now, and no one here seems to understand that slow drivers should stay in the RIGHT lanes of the freeway.
And no one can drive in the snow. WTF!!?? You don't just ABANDON your car on the freakin FREEWAY! Even if there is two inches of snow! My four-wheeled transport is a little 2WD Suzuki Swift, and some of these Seattle area folks abandoned 4WD's on the freeway. Of course, I learned to drive in Idaho, where there is real snow, not just dandruff.
Instead of just complaining, I'd like to offer a solution: Voluntary "refresher" driver's ed. for adults, which would lower your insurance premium, just like driver's ed. for teenagers. That way, folks would remember who gets the right of way at a four-way stop or stop lights that are on the fritz.

Singapore drivers drive like they're on crack!
You know, King... Since I'd bet Elise posted this! I will have to agree! They were worse than any other drivers I have ever seen in my LIFE!
The speed limit was 60KPH... We had a van with a 50kph sticker on the back (so that was all we were supposed to go)... and we did 100KPH or more, to keep from being killed!
However even though they drive the craziest! They had some bad ass cars! I saw 3 Lotus Ellis (or however you spell it)... a couple of lamborginies... and all sorts of cars that I had no clue what the heck they were...
But when a geo metro pulled a price tag of $50,000S... The conversion rate was $1.83S to $1.00US you could see that a geo metro for over $25,000 was a little expensive... Then on top of that the car has a life span of 10 years there! Then you "reregister it for almost the original price" or scrap it and get a new one... Not to mention the toll checks (they had a 2 way charge system installed in every single car over there) that charged more the worse traffic was! It was awesome! Good way to keep traffic down...
In 4 months I spent about $500 US on Taxi fares... One ride of wish I kept having to litterally HIT the driver on the arm because he fell asleep about 10 times on a 20 minute ride.... I though I was going to die that day!

Elise didn't post that one but she did say something to me about it, LOL. I can't remember what she told me the cost of having the car was but the license alone was insane, and she told me her father had to apply for registration, which was something like 500 dollars sing. and that did not guarantee the registration. To boot you also have to apply yearly to keep your plates. She freaked when she l;earned all she had to do is pay 28 bucks and pass a drivers test to get her license, and to think, Marylandmark and I are fuming over the 128 bucks for every two years for plates here, L.

how much! $128 a year.... that sucks... a 2 year old car costs $98.00 for 2 years! Also personal plates are all of $30.00 (we only get 6 digits though) but once you buy them... their yours forever!
I tried to do ASHOLE but the state held the plates for 5 months and then I finally got in touch with the 1 person who handles them for the state... she said they were on her desk but hadn't gotten around to calling and telling me they were offensive and to try another set of plates.... So I picked INDHLP but that car got returned to Ford... so I'm just a regular plate person again...
Oh well the price of cheap is cheap service! OH yeah... we also have emissions tests which cost $58.00 for a 2 year IM test...
I'm thinking BDZUMA or BADZMA for my scooter...

South Florida has THE WORST drivers of all, I promise!!!!
There is a rollover at least 4 days a week, and pileups all the time....... I hate it! Oh well, just another trade-off of Sunshine 90% of the year!
