i have a black 05 bws and im thinking off a removing the red flame stickers off the back body side were the tranny is and leaving it black.
the screws were the luggage rack are suppose to be, im planning on putting in chrome ones. i would also like the chrome plate the tranny but i know this will cost alot.
instead i would like to polish it to look chrome.
how would i go about doing this?
what tools do i need?
how long will it take?
im also thinking about painting the other side of the of the body to look like the rising sun. i saw this on a gas tank on a chopper and it looked pretty sweet. any thoughts?

Here's one way of polishing the tranny case. Lot of work.
I just used some Mother's Aluminum polish form AutoZone.

I did mine still mounted on the scoot without taking the case off. First hit it with 400 then 600 then 1000 all dry, not wet. Then used the mothers to finish it off. While I had the kick start off I took it to a wire wheeel and removed all the black paint so it would look better sitting next to the case.
