Yesterday,my turn signal 's worked fine on my Vento Pantom R4i - all 6 of them. (3 on each side of the bike)

Today they do NOTHING - no slow blink,no lighting up in any way shape or form.

I checked the 2 fuses in the battery box and they were fine plus by disconnecting each fuse, I realized that one of the fuses control's the entire lighting system and the other can turn the scooter into a door stop.

Point being that those fuses were checked but have nada to do with my problem.

Then I tok the front of the bike off, disconnected the connector from the blink switch so I could short the signal wire to either one of the 2 turn signal wires. That works as I was able to power a light that way so the blinker switch is OKAY.

So now I am totally stuck as to what to check. Is there a fuseable link somewhere on this bike for the turn signal's or a hiden fuse somewhere?

Where is the blinker 'relay' and how does one go about testing that?

Any other ideas is greatly appreciated. After just coming back from the store on this bike with no blinkers, it took all the fun out of it because it is spooky not hving blinkers.
That was a big reason why I picked the Phantom because it has 6 blinkers on it.

Thanks alot

Need a bit more to go on.

Are we dealing with a 'hidden' fuse on the Phantom or a 'hidden' blinker thing like on cars that make them work or are we talking about a hidden fusible link?

Thanks for replying though.

Not sure what your year is however I looked at some info on the yamaha web site and found this...

Now it's for a 2004 zuma... As I have no idea what year and all your scooter is, so generic is gonna have to work...

piece #7 in the pic is the blinker relay...

"blinker relay" aka "flasher"

Thanks to all that replied. It was the Flasher.

I have ordered a new one from Vento but in the meantime, I found (for $5.00) a three prong automotive relay (+,-,Load) which is the same style as the one on my 2004 Phantom.

It works but since I could not match the resistive load with the auto one, the flashers flash really fast.
