I just installed an aftermarket rear shock on my Vino and it's great but, as others may have discovered, the center stand needs to be about 1" longer. Does anyone have any ideas as to the best way to do it. The way the stock stand is I don't think it can fall left but looks like it could over on the right side.
Thanks for any ideas.

one of the old moderator "aviatrixie" had 1" extentions welded to the bottom and she said they worked perfectly...

I agree lennox. Instead of welding it on you could try drilling a hole and threading it so a bolt will go thru this will hold it using oppsite pressure and allow it to be taken off if you go back to your old shock. The tubing should fit over the stand and use lock tight on the bolt.

Was working on my scoot last night and was thinking about your question. When looking at my center stand. I would actually forgoe my previous advice to drill thru a piece of tubing and actually drill thru the base of the leg coming up from the bottom, thread it and put the bolt in. You could use a 3/4 in bolt (or whatever you think will be best). The scoot will then use the bolt as an extension and you can take it out if you go back to the stock shock.
