has anyone looked into installing the little DC computer fans into the case?
I have seen some that are a total size of around an inch diameter and would push air in the front, then have one in the back pulling it out...
I'd say that's the best idea I've heard!? Just haven't seen it done!
Yeah seen that im thinking of going to Radio shack and get a fan also auto stores have them the one with the lights Neon on them!!! i'll let you know when i get one!!! :)

no pics yet... but litterally your cutting a hole into the cover that goes over the variator and clutch...
Be careful if your doing this! Don't cut into the main body of the bike! you'll end up breaking your scooter and buying a new scooter engine case!
What they are refering to is litterally drilling a hole into the tranny cover and allowing air to flow into the case... This will cool the tranny parts better...
As with an upgraded scooter the parts move more and have a higher heat that is produced!
Which in turn can cause the belt and other tranny parts to break or blow up!

What if you try this... Take the cast cover off... (where the Kick start is located) and In-bettween the spaces where the Variator, and Clutch are cut 3-5 horizontal slots about 1/2 and inch thick. This will let allow the belt to create almost a vaccum effect, sucking IN air to the belt housing. Here's a pic of what i mean.

Guess after 38 posts (Part I & II) this discussion has gone flat. (Not to mention the 50 replies on the old board to the same thread name that jered posted I think back in June!

Well, I can finally answer this question!!! Got my kevlar belt and have been riding with it for about 100miles, and it's great! No problems yet. Of course it is winter, and the air has been really cold lately. I suggest getting one, a stock belt is around $30 and the kevlar is about $50... why not invest a couple more bones and get a belt that'll last 3times the life of a stock belt?
