I was wondering if anyone could help? I have a Vento Zip 3I which I think is a great scooter I have driven it for the past 2 summers with no problems it now has 1200 miles on it and is still in excellent condition but at the end of last summer it started to leak Oil from underneath, it is dripping out from under the plastic on the right hand side probably the oil injector anybody experienced this problem?

Also same time as the oil leak the turn signals stopped working, bulbs are fine when I press the alarm all turn signals work. Is their a flasher unit or a seperate fuse for the signals?

Thanks

The oil seding unit in the oil tank has been an issue for zips for some time now. Pull it out wrap in teflon tape and replace. As for the turn signals that I'm not sure hopefully another member can help.

yup, very common problem. teflon tape is the way to go.

Take out trunk and check oil sensor. If its loose buy some teflon tape and wrap it around the sensor, stick it back in and no longer worry about oil leaks.

Check the oil sensor for the leak. As for the turn signals, take out the flasher that should be mounted near the handlebars.

Thanks for the fast response. The Oil leak is coming from under the vented Tranny cover? I wasn't sure what it was called but having viewed your pics I have found the name of it. The oil bottle and under the oil bottle is all clean and the pipe coming from the bottle is also clean??
Also thanks for the signal advice will check the flasher unit when the sun re-appears.

If its coming from the right hand side above the exhaust then that would be the oil sensor leaking. If its on the left side where your kickstart lever is then that could be overflow from the transmission gears.

my husband had the oil leak after only a few miles. Had them replace gaskets. Now the battery will not hold a charge when in scooter, but will hold up out of scooter. All buttons are off and remote not used. Heard of this problem?

yes. again common. refill battery to proper level and trickle charge. if that doesn't get it going a new battery would.
