The battery died a couple days ago and I couldn't get it kick started. I remembered that the spark plug as old, so I replaced it. I still can't get it started. I've charge the battery, but it doesn't turn the engine over. I thought this was cause the battery wasn't charged enough, but it should be strong enough to spark.

Edit: it's been charging a bit longer, now it's making clicking noise when I try to start it (like a car with a bad starter).

sounds like you need a new battery. How is the water/acid level??
It should still kick start?

Put some gas in the carb or the spark plug and turn it over. It will show then tell me whats happened.

My brother in-law got a Venice last month.
After 2 weeks of riding it, the same thing happened.
I gave it the run through and just could'nt figure it out.
We took it into where he bought it, and low and behold, twist'n'go had a batch of scooter sneak through with bad autolube systems!
The shop disconnected the autolube and pre-mixed it and bam!
IT STARTED!

Hi!
First time posting, though I've been lurking for a while.
I've had the same problem with my Venice. Once every week or two weeks, it just won't start. A battery charge usually does the job, and it starts later that day.
Twice now, though, it just hasn't started at all. The first time, I took it to the dealer, who told me oil had built up in the crankcase and was fouling the spark plug. They suggested I run the scoot at higher rpm's to keep the oil/gas mixing through a bit more.
That seemed to have kept it running for several months, with only a few days of not starting at first, but then starting after a charge.
Then, a few weeks ago, it happened again where I just couldn't start it at all. Took it to the dealer, who said they had no trouble starting it, and suggested the kill switch was engaged. Possible, I suppose, but not likely.
Anyway, here's my question. I'm not mechanical at all. So, can you tell me what autolube is? Is it something I can fix myself?
I'm actually at the point of thinking of selling the Venice and getting a different scooter, but I also don't want to sell someone a scooter that isn't running well...

How do I put gas into the carb?

forget putting gas in carb. If anything use spark plug hole..... though, I don't even recomend that unless its mixed gas.
Auto lube is oil injection. I do not see how this would stop the engine from running unless it siezed. When the dealer disconnected it, did they rebuild the scoot? If the oil injection failed, your motor would be in ROUGH shape.

Yeah, I know it sounds weird.
When my bro's would'nt start, I checked the plug, ignition, gas, everything.
I knew what I was doing... ( used to ride/ work on motorbikes & drove Vw's for ages until Mex quit making blocks)
We even undid his fuel line and ran it straight from the tank to the carb to see if we could get it to go.
NOTHING! It just refused to kick over!
I was boggled...
When we took it to the dealer, the mechanics did the same. They could'nt figure it out either.
So they called T'nG. T'nG told our dealer we were'nt the only ones with this problem and that they would send a new autolube system in a few weeks.
Currently, my bro is pre-mixing. His autolube hose going to the carb has a plug in it. (a small piece of coat hanger) It's running like a champ!
-------except that his front wheel nut came undone! That explained the shake at 35 mph!
My front wheel nut did that too!
I tightened it up better and it's stayed tight, but I still check it
from time to time. A front wheel coming loose can ruin your whole
day!
