problem with starting!!

i just installed my airsal 70cc head with my arreche 19mm carb, and unifilter, i had the scooter started and rode it around the block it sounded and ran good, but when i stopped at a stop sign, and then started to accelerate it was bogging out, then it would take off. possibly to rich or lean (i gotta check that). Then at the last stop sign it stalled out when i went to give it gas. Now it will not start at all. It sounds like it is turning over, but won't start. Every once in a while I get a back fire out the exhaust, but that is it. I left it sit for a day thinking it was just flooded but still nothing. I checked the spark, and sometimes it is a strong spark, and others it is very little spark. An ideas what to do next or what could be happening? Thanks in advance for all your help. Jim. :angry:

sounds like you fouled the plug due to running rich...

lean it out and put a new plug in... don't REUSE the old one... the reason why, once they are soaked and such they perform less and can degrade your engine performance...

Sounds like a fouled plug, what are you running for a main jet or an airbox. Since it sounds like you installed it and rode it, did you re-jet, re-adjust idle, idle mixture and such?

i am not sure about the jet stuff, i just put the carb on the way i got it from erich, and i am running a unifilter from provo as well.

all the Arreche's that I have bought, have come with either a 65, or 75 main............. I think you need higher (95) esp with an open filter

can anyone explain the whole jet thing? i am not too familiar with the whole carb tuning thing, i was gonna have my buddy help me with that, but i didn't make it that far. also can anybody tell me what i need to get, so i can contact erich and get it. thanks jim.
