ok i'm looking into selling my 04 all silver little black vino classic my girlfriend dosn't think i can sell it for much cause of the milage...2700 miles. but i am not sure on how much i should sell it for its all stock except for the restricions both off and it goes about 43-45 on good days never had any probloms with it allways had the maintance done at yamaha dealer. i do have the yamaha windshield for it i don't like the way it looks but it serves the perpuse of the love bugs. its a great ride but living in fla i hate all the damn hurricanes that we have and what not so i am going to break down and buy a car i havn't owned a car in over a year i have been on two wheels the whole time. so if any one could give me an idea on how much it can go for i would appriciate it. o yeah it has the extended warranty for 3 years i think? and i bought it new in june-04. no scuffs or dropps or anything very well takin care of.

You can't keep it AND get a car? It's nice to have the option of when to ride. If it looks like rain, drive the car. If it looks nice out, ride. I enjoy riding even more because I realize that I don't have to. I ride because I want to.

If you can afford to keep the scooter and get a car, that's what I would do, too. I have both and keep my Vino for fun & errands to the grocery store, bank, etc. It is nice to have options. Besides hurricane season won't last forever--although I am sure it seems like that for Florida residents.
You will probably lose money on the sale--seems like scooters don't have much re-sale value except for the old Vespas & Lambrettas.

new scooters are worse then new cars on resale... you might get half of the MSRP for a used scooter, regardless of milage!

Even they don't unless it's a rare model or a fully referbed one and even then they don't fetch that much.

2700 miles is nothing. I've seen Vino's with over 15k on them, with all original engine parts. Try to not go lower than $1000.
