Lately when I come to a full stop, my zuma dosn't idle down. As I come to a stop I need to "goose" the throttle one or two times for the clutch to fully disenguage and to return to a normal idle. I tried playing with the cable adjustment at the grip assembly but It didn't seem to make much difference. Does this sound like a throttle adjustment, carb adjustment or could the clutch or throttle cable be sticking? Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks

Sounds like your clutch is jamming up. I think Pinky can explain more into this but as far as I understand the torque spring isnt able to disengauge somehow. Anyways, the fix is a performance clutch.

Speedy your probably right. I'm getting tired of everyone telling me to upgrade the stock clutch. I'll drop Erich a line. I think I have about 8,000 miles on the origional clutch so, I would imagine It's about that time. Pinkey, what do you think?
Also, this problems occurs only when I'm on the throttle for a while. Short stop and go's it dosn't act up.
Is there any noticible preformance gains going from stock to a preformance clutch?

It's not your clutch. Sounds like your idle is hanging. Usually caused by being too rich on the low end, but too lean will do it also. The first thing to do is clean your air filter. If that doesn't work, try turning your air screw 1/4 turn in one direction, then the other. Don't know your setup. There's nothing to be gained with a performance clutch on a stock scooter. The stock clutch doesn't work very well when you get some power, though. The Polini 2g works great.

Thanks speedy, I'm at stage II and the stock clutch dosn't seem to slip or anything. I launches off the line pretty well. I'll take your advise and check the idle screw. The airbox hasn't been off since I staged, at least 3.500 to 4,000 miles ago. So, would imagine It's time for a cleaning. As for the clutch, I havn't droped any money into the scoot in quite awhile so it's about time.
By the way Is the thread on the rear pully that holds the torque spring and clutch a regular thread or does it loosen clockwise?

Regular thread, 41mm nut.

I cleaned the air filter and adjusted the idle a little and no more problem. Thanks Pinky!
