lol, just wanted to tell you guys a lil about my area. Cops galore here in sunny little Las Cruces, NM, they look at me left and right and never stop me, as I think I am the only scooter on the road. I haven't seen any scooters other than the cruddy electric ones kids think they're cool on, but have seen some cool vino's on the college campus, but only amongst the girls. The day I got my brand new scooter I took my friend adam for a ride, --- he fell in love with it, he is planning on having his parents help him get one, and we'll be upgrading our scooters together, and hopefully start a club cheers guys! :)

Good Going Bro-

I am not going to comment on you and with your buddy Adam on the back but would advise to let him ride it, not let him ride on the back of it. Keep him on the back and the chicks with the vino's will from this day forward always consider you a "friend" if you catch my drift.....

As far as the cops- do you have tags, registration, license and insurance? If needed in your area it is a good idea to get it- makes it at least appear you are a law abiding citizen MOST of the time- even when they catch you doing wheelies at 3 AM.

Another part of my little rant is always that try to act semi-respectful and responsible on your scoot- you go driving down sidewalks kicking over trash cans it makes all scooterest look bad.

I'm getting insurance on saturday for it, its got that temporary registration until Oct. 22nd. Who cares about the girls on campus, I dont go there anyhow, but chicks love gay guys, try to convert them. Dont think my chick would appreciate trying to pick up other ones.

It's the same where I'm at. I rode harleys for a couple of years and nobody cared but I get into conversations at stop lights about scooters all the time. My landlord at work saw me riding and he wants one now. He's getting his license and all. I've only seen one guy on a scooter around here besides me.

See, now this is not a good post... I says you break the law and care less... And unfortunately haven't gotten into trouble for it yet!

This is why some places have scooter haters!

Maybe not you specifically but there are those that do the same thing and the area they are in are not friendly to it...

Nothing wrong with doing wheelies but do it in an appropriate place and time. Not down the road... ya know... And speeding, not really any appropriate time to say this is acceptable... however most people do it...

Not ragging on you just pointing out the facts... :D ;)

Obviously he hadn't been pulled over by me when I was on the force cause I would not hesitate to issue a citation for pulling crap like that off. I also have issue with the fact that he's been issued warning after warning I find hard to believe even in a small town. I found small town cops to be the ones with the lowest tolerance for such behaver.

Regardless it is that sort of attitude which is why I hope that all states pass requirements for a license to ride a scooter and not just an auto driver's license.

Frederick, MD (WJZ) Whoever erased a videotape purportedly showing a half-dressed motorcyclist doing a fatal wheelie along U.S. 340 could face criminal charges, the Frederick County state's attorney said Wednesday.

State police said the cameraman was with Holding It Big Entertainment, a Baltimore-based company with a World Wide Web site featuring video and photographs of similar stunts.

Holding It Big didn't return telephone calls placed Wednesday by The Associated Press to a number obtained Tuesday from the
company's World Wide Web site. The number was no longer on the Web site Wednesday.

State's attorney Scott Rolle said police were still investigating the death Sunday of Shaun Paul Matlock, 21, of Walkersville. Matlock died after crashing into a tow truck parked along the roadside about three miles south of Frederick while riding on only the rear wheel of his bike Sunday afternoon, according to police and witness reports.

The stunt was videotaped by a man with Holding It Big who was riding in a vehicle next to Matlock, Trooper David Ward said Tuesday. Ward told The Frederick News-Post the tape had been erased twice by the time police got it from the man who made it. He wouldn't say who made the recording.

"We know a lot, but we are still trying to put it all together," Ward said.

Rolle said that if the videotape contained evidence of someone driving in a reckless manner, erasing it could lead to charges of obstruction of justice or hindering an investigation.

"I'm not saying that any of that occurred, but that's what we would be looking at," he said.

Ward said Matlock was among seven motorcyclists riding west on the four-lane highway Sunday afternoon when he lost control of his
bike. Another cyclist in the group also was doing wheelies, he said.

Both men were wearing helmets, shirts and shoes, but neither was wearing pants or underwear, police said.

Matlock's funeral is scheduled for Friday. One of his friends, Ben Wilson, said Tuesday that Matlock "died doing something that made him happy."
