minor repairs and upkeep

hey all....got about 3000 miles on my one year old 2004 vino and i've got a few questions.

1. any repairs or maintenance that i should be espescially wary of at this point?

2. since i derestricted the exhaust, there have been periods where the bolts holding the pipe on have loosened...the engine whick already runs loud, is louder...and i get a 5mph boost in top speed.

i'm honestly not terribly mechanical, so i'm wary of the other deregs...i can see it going all wrong, but i do want to be able to keep the scoot running thru general maintentance and upkeep that isn't shop-worthy.

what do your respective shops charge for some of these mods and upgrades? is it mostly just highway robbery?

3. finally, my running light went out tonight on the way home and i used the brights guiltily for a wee bit. the headlamp doesn't respond at ignition....it only responds when you hit the brights...any thoughts>?

3k is not all that difficult if you dont drive much. I haven't driven my car in 3 weeks. Just scoots. At the rate I am going at I will be putting 3-5k per year on the scoots.

I will be lucky to get 1K miles out of mine a year.

I run it for fun- not to get place to place. I am 11ish miles from home and it would take me too long on my scoot.

Now once I get a stage II I might be more willing to cruise to work but for now just fun.

Sounds like you need a new bulb because the low beam filament is burned out.

jesus you guys! i've had my vino since feb of this year, and i've got around 4400 miles on it already... though i drive it everywhere...
