Hello,
I am going to have to drill the stock 80 jet as I am tired of the run-around from the local shops. Can sombody tell me what size drill bit would make a 84 jet? I am going to start there as I think it is a good starting point. Also, where is a good place to find these drill bits? and is there anything I should know about drilling a jet before I dig in? Thanks

A #65 drill would be equal to a 84 m.j.

take it somewhere that has jet drills... they are very small and I bet you'll go to big...

My personal feeling is to have a spare first. That way no matter if it goes well or bad you can always go back to where you were. If you destroy your only main jet you have nothing to make it work until the right jet comes in the mail.......

the best thing i found for drilling jets is a welder tip drill. it is hand held drill that you use to clean the tip of a welder and has a little chuck in the end. the end cap hold all the different size bits. all you have to do is use a digital micrometer and find the .84mm equivalent and there ya go. the tool im talking was available at NAPA (at least i bought mine there a couple years ago for tinkering with the dellorto jets on my RX-7)
