if you are looking for an OEM part, try your local Yamaha dealer.
Some members have used various materials for floor mats. i.e. "diamond plate"

My 2003 Vino didn't come with one at all. I assumed it was optional.

you talking the plastic piece that your feet rest on... or are you talking about a rubber mat that lays on it?
They don't list a part number for a mat... I'm guessing it wasn't something that came with it...?

5AU-27483-00-00 MAT 1 UR BROWN FOR SMX
this is for a 2005 which should fit the same... I think the vino "CLASSIC" is the only ones that have the mats on them...
Anyway this is the part number for the brown foot rest mat... for a 2005 vino classic...

Thanks for all the replys.
I do like the idea of diamond plate.
I will take the part number to my local dealer and see what they have to say.
The 03 Vino did not have them but you could get them in 2004 in black & brown and they would fit on the 03.

I ordered the brown floor mat through my local Yamaha dealer --it cost around $40.
order parts for the 2003 Yamaha Vino Classic--the brown floor mat came standard with the gold color Vino Classic, the black mat with the sliver Vino Classic. No mats came with the plain Vinos. the part is listed on the Ymaha site or any online dealer that sells Yammy parts. Be sure to get the one that ccame with the Gold Vino Classic if you want a brown/tan mat. The 2004 & later Vinos all came with mats I think

It's funny this discussion came up: I bought a new/unsold 2003 red/cream Vino Classic a few months ago and it didn't come with a mat and I thought that was normal. Right after that I saw it in the 2003 Vino Classic online parts manual (not accessories) and wondered if it was supposed to be there, but had other issues distracting me just then.
Besides, given how you just about have to pull that floor board up every time you want to check the plug, it adds one more thing to remove. I suppose it keeps the rain and dirt off the floor board bolts, though.

Jim--in 2003 the Red (aka Raspberry) Vino was a plain Vino, not the classic model--does yours have a chrome headlight and rear rack? If so it is a 2004 Vino Classic
you can check your VIN number to see what year your Vino actually is
and you can access the plug from underneath the scooter--I have never done it through the floorboard.

Pacific Northwest.
It's a great place to live. 2 hours to the mountains or 2 hours to the ocean with Puget sound smack dab in the middle. I like to think of it as Gods country :yippy: But then, I spent all of summer 04 in King Cove Alaska and it is a beautiful place as well. I live in North Tacoma, close to the Narrows bridge and Point Defiance park. The one pic with the sound in the backround was taken at one of the look outs at the Point.

Hey someone was saying something about a diamond plate? That would be nice, will a ...yamaha....dealer have that in stock? Or will they tell me a bs story to make me go away?

Zuma_Man--diamond plate floorboards have been custom made by some of our members--look through the scooter garages. Maybe someone would make one and sell it to you. Yamaha sucks with their accessories for scooters.

The VIN label on my Vino says it was mfg'd in 6/02, and it has a red headlight cover with black rear rack. The only chrome is one the handlebars and trim around the leg shield. Out of curiosity, where do I look up that VIN? Does that mean it's a "plain" Vino and not a "Classic", which I thought it was?
I know you can "reach" the plug from underneath, but I haven't yet found a very convenient wrench/socket tool that hasn't made me wish I'd pulled the floorboard. At the risk of veering this discussion off topic, someone have a suggestion they want to PM me maybe?

Jim
Yup you have the same model as I do. It is a Yamaha Vino, not the classic model. It is now a collector's item as all Yamaha makes are Vino Classic's now. ;)
See the attached photos (1st one is my 2003 Vino, 2nd is the 2004 Vino Classic) Also the model numbers are different, too
The VIn number is under the little plastic panel in the center of the legshield. There are a few websites where you can plug in your VIN number and it will tell you what the year, make and model of your scooter is.

Hmmmm...
The model number is YJ50RR, not YJ50RAR, so I guess it is a "plain" Vino. I just did a quick search of the web and am coming up empty for that VIN decode. The sites I hit keep saying "no records". Can you point me at any url's you know that work?
I guess since we're on the subject, what exactly is the difference between the "plain" and the "classic"?

I went to a dif Yamaha dealer just north of me in Federal Way. I was able to order the brown floor mat and 4 cap / plugs to attach it. It was made for the 05 Vino Classic but will look good and fit my green 03 with the brown seat & grips.
Thanks for the part number and all the help all.

I bought the bag hook from the TNG Venice for my Vino , but have found out that some of the parts on the Venice do not fit on the Vino.
also the floor mat for the Venice is kind of flimsy and does not bolt down like the Vino one.
The Venice does have some cool looking rear trunks. I wish Yamaha would have more accessories for its scooters, so we wouldn't have to search everywhere else to get things.
