Roller question

Hi,

My scoot takes 6 rollers....7gr's in at the moment. I'd like to lighten it a little, and have some 10's here. I thought I would try putting 3 10's in (I've heard you can do that?) --> will that be just the same as putting in 6 5's as long as they are lined up correctly --> or would I be better off ordering 6 5's?

Hi,

I hear that should work. Of course, you have half the surface area of rollers doing the variator shifting so the wear rate on the roller's surface should be higher; but, it should demonstrate if the total weight will give the performance you want.

Thanks Bernie, I might give it a try just to see if lightening them will help a bit - then I'll order some if need be.
