The service manual for my Boulevard 150 says to remove the "silencer" (I take this to mean "muffler" in U.S. english) in order to change the oil/filter. It looks to me like there is ample space to remove the drain plug/screen and spin-on filter without removing the muffler. Has anyone done this servicing before, and did you have to remove the muffler to do this?
