I already saw it!!...
I'm impressed with the price!
I swear that the other places I have look at the cast iron kits for molassi were more than this, by a bunch...
Not 100% though...
GO ERICH!

Stage II kit in the works with this unit?
hmmmmmmmm

Maybe he'll include it as an option, a choice between the two kits for the stage II.

Whic is better, cast iron or alluminunm? You'd think the cast iron would be the obvious choice, but I've heard a few scoot experts like the alluminum better. Whatta you guys think?

historically the aluminum is the "race" version... however long term the cast iron is the better choise (usually)...
The aluminum has 1 ring the cast should have 2 or 3...
Extreme high RPM's can have ring flutter with multiple rings...
Just depends on the application...
Also the cast are usually more torque and the aluminum is usually more HP...

Ya know what they say...Horsepower sells, tourqe wins.
In teh description of the cast iron kit, it says that when teamed up with a Tecnigas pipe (I already have it) it can be a top end beast. How beastly are we talkin' here, 60's? With my clutch springs, Kevlar belt, Tecnigas pipe, HP variator and light weights I'm already touching low 50's. What about with a Cast iron BBK, 19mm carb. and a Uni. Filter? Oh man...

I think I am going to be getting one of these (the cast malossi) when the spring hits... Maybe as a winter install... Then again it only takes about 30 minutes of less total now that I've installed mine a couple of times.

take your time...
Make sure you remove all the body parts surounding the cylinder... IE: seat, trunk, battery cover, and cover in front of the cylinder...
This allows much needed access...
2nd, use the correct size tools, nothing will screw up your build like... Stripped bolts!
Make sure your loosening and tightening (head on) or you'll break bolts, screws or studs....
3rd, follow the directions! They are there for a reason!
4th, rub some 2 cycle oil on the all contact points before installing! Duh, lube make insertion easier! HEHE! :D
5th, don't skip or take short cuts...
6th use all the parts from the new kit, they came for a reason...
7th, have fun... it's a learning experience and should be fun....
8... BLA BLA BLA BLA BLAAAAAAAAAA now that I really didn't give any advice...

Hey SuperDave i will take RPM's any day. i love the power just like you. vino's can be super fast wheelie machines. i have a jog and they have the same motor. you can get that bike into the 80's. i have a friend out here that got his smc (jog wannabe) to do 88mph. i have never seen a really fast vino but i think that would be solid to see a classic bike with whitewalls eating up all the so called sport scooter.

88mph  ??? What did he do to it?
SuperDaveJr.

You want me to believe that you can go 88mph on a Vino knockoff? That right there just shows how wrong you are. Dont get me wrong, I'm not dissing top speed in anyway. I mean, if it can't break 50 then I feel like I'm going backwards. But 88 on a knockoff scooter? Your doing great to get a Vino into the 70's (but I don't even know if thats possible.) Erick told me that his personal Vino went 75 (I think).

superdave, let me know your setup. i bet its airsal parts. i have never heard anything about them being race parts. race parts make almost twice the h.p. as street parts. heres his set up, let me know if you got anything closet to his.
polini evo cylinder kit 70cc, 47.6
polini speed crank
polini speed tranny, over range set up
28mm carb
9 to 1 polini gears
completely race tuned.
i dont know where you are getting all your performance info from but they should be telling you what the parts are able to do. polini, malossi, and hebo are the top of the line. i have a friend in the philipines that has a complete 70cc jog running 13.8 in the quarter mile and that without NOS.

Okay, Thanks for keeping this nice, so far!
Here is the thing... As I mentioned I have never found anyone who has a 70+MPH scooter to be able to prove it... I've heard people say Mine does.... Or I have a friends who can....
But when push comes to shove, no one will meet other people with their scooters or show GPS bumbers to prove it!
Now I do agree the parts you listed are "race" parts and not just mod parts...
However... See my sig for all the stuff I have... For what is available for the Zuma, I have a good list of parts... I was only able to get to 48mph, before the gears and now with the gears am around 55mph...
I do want to change to the Malossi or Polani race cylinder as well as the Extended range variator... Not sure I want to go all out with the different crank or not... I am also looking into the 99cc kit... (or with the crank 105cc)...
If you have a buddy who can push those numbers! AWESOME! I envy him... however I just got to see it to believe it... as with the amount of time and money I have invested in mine and only adding what I have to the top speed... I find it hard to believe that a scooter is able to push the 80mph range...
I will run mine down the track here next year when it opens up to see what mine call pull... However... I no I'll be no ware near 13 seconds!
I'll be suprised if I get under 20... Oh well...

any of you guys that want to talk to guys that race these types of engines check out this site. there is a guy on there called OVERREV, his bike is goin 13.8 in the quartermile. he also had a small video clip of his bike running.
jered if you ever get a race bore go for the polini evo 47.6 and speed crank, oh yeah make sure the bore is the watercooled one. the ports on it are a lil better and you can run more compression with that kit. i have a sigma 800 speedo on my bike as well as a koso ditigal cluster and on my sigma 800 it got 71 mph.
jered set up do you got on your bike.
