I was considering buying a Vino 125, I had a Vino 50cc. I'm having hard time finding one to look at, even new at a dealer, so I had a couple questions.

Is the Vino 125 body larger than the Vino 50? I felt like the Vino 50 was a little small.

What should you expect to pay for all the added dealer fees on top of the MSRP?

I have asked a few dealers about the 125, and none of them have them in stock because they are so hot right now. I basically have to put a deposit on one, and wait for the to come in, so I can forget about haggling on the MSRP.

Thanks for your help,

I just bought one today. They let me sit on a Vino 50 last week, and it is definitely smaller than the 125. I think the 125 weighs a good 50-75 pounds more too, but I think people who have done more than just buy it and still haven't picked it up from the store can give you better details.

In terms of fees, I think it varies a bunch. My dealer had two 125's. Their original offer was MSRP ($2495) + a whopping $599.50 for shipping and putting it together + $225 to do paperwork + taxes + $85 for the tag. In other words, more than $3600. I balked at the $599.50 and offered $2700 + taxes. The salesperson then learned from the manager that one of the two 125's was technically used. It had 1 mile on the odometer, but it had been purchased and delivered to someone, who then decided that she wanted a Morpheus (250).

They knocked $100 from the MSRP and had me pay $199.50 for checking it over after buying it back. I wasn't very happy with that, but they have us over a barrel. All told, after all the taxes and fees, I still paid about $3100 out the door. Fortunately, I got Yamaha's 2.9% financing for 12 months and did not have to put anything down.

The fees will really vary based on where you live. There are some folks who paid a tiny bit more than MSRP out the door, and there are others, like Bahmo, that they stick it to. In my area, they are probably about 3000.00 out the door. They are hard to find, though. I was lucky enough to find a 2005 used one, a rare find.

The vino 125 is the same size as the zuma... which is one of the largest 50cc scooters...

It's very sturdy... I had no issues at speeds 60+ and felt totally comfortable and safe...

Actually the Vino 125 is 30 or 40 lbs heavier than the Zuma. Because of the styling and the seat, the Zuma appears larger, but it's not. However, I found the Zuma higher than the Vino 125.

Both are solid scooters though.
