something hanging out

hey fellas,
i was cleaning out my air filter today and i noticed a little yellow tube hanging out behind the air filter. one end is hooked to something, but i am not sure into what. the other end is haning out behind the air filter not hooked into anything. wtf is this? i am not going to ride it until i find out this is normal or not :0
