Has anyone done this and do you have instructions? I can see on Yamaha's website the diagram but it is not clear how to actually get to the bulb itself.

Thanks!

If you remove the light assembly from the front of the bike. It will be two 10mm bolts and a couple of screws. Unplug the lights so you have some room to play with. Dont worry the lights only plug in one way. So no need to try to keep them straight.

After you have the assembly off of the bike there should be a lock ring at the back side of the light. If you turn it a 1/4 turn counter-clockwise it should come off and you can then remove the bulb from the back of the headlamp.

Replace the bulb making sure not to touch the bulb itself. Then just put it all back together.

look in the how to section under jered's how to's, and then look under "dual headlight mod"

Exactly the same till you get to adding the additional wire, simply take the bulb out and put a new H4 bulb in...

Thanks guys. Headlight bulb replaced successfully. For anyone else, make sure you do not touch the globe part of the bulb. The Yamaha dealer warned me in advance. If you do touch it, wash it off with tissue and alcohol.

My bulb is out in my 03 Zuma. What is the part number I need to look for? Does it need to be a Yamaha bulb or can I use a different one?

Thanks,

Cory
