I think I am going to order one of these 2 brand since I have not heard any horror stories about them so far like I have Airsal.
I know that could be totally installers errors and so on.
Is one better than the other, priced about the same and so on is what I am looking for.
If you say one sucks that is cool- just explain why please!

MArk, I haven't heard anything about the molassi brand kits...
I have heard nothing but good about the polani, but the aluminum (racing) kit is like $250+... compaired to $140 for the Airsal kit...
Supposedly the polasi is a better quality kit but I've never actually seen one...

I see a lot of the Molassi kits for sale out there from the same that sell the Polini.
They are pricey but it appears Polini:
1. seems to work with the Zuma where so- far at least- Airsal doesn't seem to do too good.
2. seem to be fairly reliable- have not heard too many stories about them as of yet.
Ok so what is better- cast iron or aluminum? Is it because of heat build up?
I am a 195 LB rider in flat/small hills area of Southern
Maryland 0-200 feet above sea level for rides 2-3 hours/50-60 miles some times but mostly 20-30 mile trips around town.
I sent badmotorscooters an email asking what they think....

Once again you are correct..
"all we have are the clutch springs and they are on sale for 10.00."
That is all I got back- asked them several questions and what is good and blah blah blah..
Well no sale from me for them!
Any other ideas?
Provo doesn't carry them....

stay away from bad motorscooter. they will take your money and send you out something that wont even work on your bike. they wont even refund the money back or give you complete store credit. those guys are bad luck.

I got that impression also...was told that most perf.mods don't work, just the 70ci kit, and that most info on Taffspeed was geared to the older Zumas...now I'm wondering....

okay, there are parts that are specific to the new and specific to the old zuma's...
The parts that ERich has in his 02+ link is for the newer zuma's and the other accordingly...
I have no problems with the parts I have ordered not working with the 04 zuma I have... Everything less the cover (which I choose to keep, erich offered a swap out at his cost) fits as it's supposed to. Nothing but ease to install... I thought the pipe wasn't sealing but that was my bad... Thought I had an exhaust leak but it was the intake being so loud...
I just think poorly of badmotorscooter.com since the have given nothing but late and rude replies to any inquire I have made with them...
Parts dealers are hit or miss... I guess even taftspeed has gone down hill lately, they were supposed to be one of the best suppliers, but apparently had one of the older employees pass away and ever since heard nothing but bad about there service!

Larry your bike has a old motor on it so there are tons of parts around. you shouldnt have any problem finding parts for your bike. just look for yamaha aerox parts or yamaha neo parts, they should work on your bike too.

Yea guys, thanks for the heads up about badmotoscooter, before I found provo yesterday, I was considering them, but I guess a 12 yearold must be running that company because I have e-mailed them too asking questions and they didn't even reply back. Plus their web layout is garbage, but oh well I'm thankful for a website like Provo, and this Erich guy you keep talking about. I think I'll get my phase 1 upgrade from provo, but then seek polini for the 2nd upgrade.

lol jered, on 2nd thought I think I'll keep mine, I'm starting to build up a bond with Christine (the zuma), and plus I hope to park it somewhere secluded with my g/f, and PLAY on it and break it in, yamaha has got nothing on me! ;)

Zuma man get the polini from the start. if you dont want to go all race then get the polini 4 race set up. the bore kit and pipe, that pipe is really good for fast street bikes. get at least a 21mm carb and gears.

Zuma man did you break your zuma in do you let it sit and idle for about 10 mins before every ride and dont ride it full throtle. I say this because I know . If it broken in properly it will run better and you will get more miles out of the engine right guys?

Holly CRAP! There is a 70 Cubic Inch kit for the Zuma! I freaking wish! Sorry just was rereading all the posts (doing the moderator thing) and noticed that! I so with there was a 70CI not a 70CC kit for the zuma!
Talk about above 60mph! hahaha

i usually let it rev and let it idle about 5-6 minutes before riding it, once i only turn the throttle enuf to maintain speed or go up a little, never too much.

Malossi MHR cylinder kits and MHR parts will Beat Polinis best parts ther race cylinders and 5 horse power weaker then the malossi race wtich is the mhr.
i VOTE MALOSSI.
the only thing bad about them is ther over range kit is almost 100.00 more then polini's, (but i have herd that it is not has good as malossi's i never tested it but i loved the over range kit for the 2004 zuma i have drivin.
