Hey guys,

Well, the 2001 Zuma is no-more. I was rear-ended by an unalert automobile driver the other night while on my way home. The good news: Somehow I managed to just get bruised up. The bad news: The Zuma is a mess.

Does the cost of repair usually outweigh the cost of replacement? Anyone ever been struck by a motorist? How do these things normally play out?

Sorry to hear that Bro but glad you are ok!!!

Just an hunch but maybe better buying an older Zuma and putting your fresh engine in it and part out the rest of your bike here or on ebay.

From what KV said the profit on these things are slim to none. Your time and energy and parts so high I would not think it would be worth it.

That is my opinion- I really don't know for a fact like someone else might.

so far as for as a i can im on ebay every day and you are much better off buying a new zuma or old one i like the old style much better then the new 'Bug Eye" zuma the old school zumas are a little bit more then the newer.

im getting in 2 or 3 days a 2000 zuma with a malossi 70cc kit MHR high compression CH, and it also has a tecnigas next R exhuast but im up grading to a tecnigas Racing 70. and putting a malossi variator on it.

im getting the zuma for real cheap 600.00 it is in mint condition it has euro lights for turn sigs, the kid had ripped his oil like and it crack his piston and sent some junk in to the cylinder head, but the cylind is just fine.

my toldle upgrade including the bike cost and all the racing stuff just under 1000.00
