I have a thick motorcycle cable and lock (On Guard Rotweiler) and can't seem to find a good way to wrap it around the scooter that makes me feel it is secure. I keep looking at it and thinking, "I could steal that in about 20 seconds with a ratchet and the right socket."

The problem seems to be no place to really wrap the cable. There is no frame to put the cable through.

What do you guys do?

disc lock would work great! When I used to use my cable, think about a bicycle, I wrapped mine through the rear tire, through the pipe, then across the body to the rail, and put my steering lock on. Looking at all of that, may want someone not to mess with it, though there is the saying "a theif will find a way". Now I park it in my garage :)

I don't use them most of the time, but I have a disc lock as well as a cable (python lock)... in addition, I have a hole cut into my battery cover where it meets the seat plastics... it fit right in there between the frame and between both rims... get it around a tree or something and your golden

This lock is too thick to go through the rear wheel. Anything thinner just gets bolt cutters (think "must be thicker than a steering wheel). The On Guard is about an inch thick (yeah...overkill...but I live in a crack neighborhood and don't have a garage). I also tie it to the heavy steel bumper of the Jeep. (If I lose all my keys...I'll have to use a cutting torch to seperate the two vehicles. :jesta: )

I keep looking at it and thinking...I could steal that in a minute. The tie in to the scooter looks to easy to get around with just a ratchet. The lock won't fit through the rear wheel and it's too easy to get the front wheel off. (I go through the front wheel and around the apron and through the Jeep's rear bumper.)

Should I use like a U lock on the rear wheel and use the On Guard to tie to objects like the Jeep or a pole?
