Hello, would like to introduce myself and Jill, my scooter. I'm a Southern California native who is very deeply (read lots of money spent) into offroading. My idea of fun happens at under 5mph but has lots of chances to mangle metal. My Jeep is named Blackjack. He is handled exclusively by JC Fab and Design, an offroad shop in Sylmar, California.

Well, last year I swore that if gas hit $3 a gallon I would get a scooter. Jack only gets 12mpg and it costs a small fortune to run him in the city. His freeway mpg can go as high as 21mpg so I didn't need something for freeway duty.

I walked down to the local Yamaha dealership and picked out a little beauty. She's 50 cc's of commuter glory. Like the Jeep she is black, she has fat tires, black wheels and round headlights. Unlike the Jeep, she rarely needs to be fed.

Here are the two vehicles at home in their space:

Hello! I have two Jeeps at my house and the Zuma really reminded me of the Jeeps. Especially the Wrangler. I have two scoots but the Zuma is my favorite to ride on short trips. Stealth and torque. Good looking dynamic duo!

Thanks everyone. :)

I've noticed a lot of offroaders are into scoots. Guess it's the uniqueness thing and the fun factor.

Jill got kudos from a big Yamaha at a stop light and I got to do my first scooterwave when something yellow passed going the other way.
