I'm very new to the scooter scene and interested in doing my own custom paint job on the Phantom GT5. Are their any resource links of people on this forum that have stripped their scoot and painted it from the ground up?

I stripped mine to mostly bare plastic...
however, I was told to use the adhesive promoter... which IMO would work fine if I had all bare plastic... but I had half plastic/half painted... and all it did was bubble the paint and make a major mess... so don't use adhesive promoter unless it's completely bare...
I rattle canned it... but probably will paint it with single stage paint this winter cause I have about 1/4 gallon left after painting my VW van...

not to bash you but I wouldn't go through the effort of removing, stripping and prepping everything to give it a rattle-can paint job. I was thinking more of some factory car colors. "Laser Blue" from Mazda is great as is "mp3 yellow"....I thought about doing something two-toned while maintaining the CF add-ons on the GT5.

you can go to vento's website and get new unpainted pannels for cheap, thats what im gonna do, like $15 a pop
and that way you have the stock pieces incase you sell it or get tired of your paint job

that is AMAZING. Are these panels identical to the ones from the other models? the R4i, the triton? I'm VERY new to theis so interchangeability is something I know nothing about.
