I saw another 03 piaggio LT 150, it has under 1,000miles and asking price around 1,800. I was thinking about picking it up as another scoot. I currently have my pre-bug with the stage II. I was thinking the bigger scoot would be nicer for longer trips and probably definately more comfortable for 2 people. I havn't ridden it yet. Does any body have any input as far as the fun factor. I would imangine it's probably not as fun as the zuma. I've allways had a 2 stroke never a 4. Is there any advantages to the 4. I'm getting tired of tuning and would like to hop on something that will go 60mph stock.
Has anyone ridden one of these?

I test drove the piaggio today. I have to tell ya. I wasn't very impressed. It was a real nice bike and drives like a caddy compared to my zuma and much more comfortable with 2 people. But, top end was around 55mph and I would bet anything that my stage II zuma with the tranny still not tuned as good as it should be would without a doubt SMOKE that 150cc piaggio from 0to45mph. The fun factor and obnoxious scream of the 2 stroke zuma (even a stock one) is far superior than the well refined 4 stroke of the piaggio. If the bike was a little faster and pushed past 60mhp it would be in my driveway. Anybody know if the 4 strokes are heavily restricted or is it just the nature of a 4 stroke engine compared to a 2 stroke?

Im A big guy..and I should be riding 200cc vespas...but there is something about the 2-stroke that is addictive..Even if you are a newbee..after a point all of this 2-smoke stuff makes sense..and you can help other scooter owners no matter what make you have...They all have a design that is very similar..cause it works!!!.....My lil' bro (whom is bigger than me) has been looking at 4 strokes out of convenience and practicality....I like tweakin'...I'll keep the 2-Stroke any day....(Now..if I can only find a 2-stroke 250cc dirt bike..):naught: John

I'm a big guy to and my zuma pushes me around no problem. I went 2 years without a single problem with my stage II until I changed to a different variator now I've been tuning for a month. I was looking at the 150 because I thought I would be easier out of the box, add gas and go fast. I could not beleive the difference in prefomance.

Your experience with the LT150 surprises me. I drive one and easily get to 65 mph on a flat straightaway. Not as quick off the line as a 2-stroke, I'll grant that, but not much slower. Faster than the cars around me.

I was reading in a new magazine and found that there is a company that is coming out with a new 250cc 2 stroke crotch rocket. It is european but I thought it looked pretty sound and would be a blast. I will have to find the article and tell you about it.
