It's Italian for strong willed. Or possibly Brooklyn Bridge.

Yeah, but when you talk about minerelli based scooters, I don't know what you mean. Please elaborate about the scooter (not the brooklyn bridge) :)

That was a joke, Minerelli was the name of the man who founded a small engine manufacturing company around WWII if I remember correctly the time line.

A Minerelli engine is the one common to the Vino, Zuma, T'NG Venice, Multiple Malaguti models, Aprilia, Italjet, Benelli, and a bunch of others that I cant think of now. The Italian scooters (like the Malaguti, Italjet, and Aprilia) have a Motori Minerelli on them made in Italy. The Vino/Zuma has one made in Taiwan, and the the T'NG & a bunch of others have engines made in China. Most are so similar in design and build that you can swap parts between them, which is great for all of us because it makes lots of parts available.
