Was looking for a deal on a new style Zuma, and ended up with a Aprilia SR50 carb. Looks like a cool ride.

It's already got a pipe on it, and is supposed to run 55.
I'll let you know when I go to pick it up Monday.

Mark we bought the wrong scooters... We should have bought the one Zuma on eBay that did over 60 with just a pipe...

You know as everyone has a fast scooter but us... :mad:

unfortunately they don't let E-5's fly them... BTW I got promoted on the 1st of september! :D :D

I get 50mph (verified) with an Arrow classic pipe and derestricted variator...

I almost got one of those but I had a hard time believing that it would take me 55mph because I weigh 235#. I also liked the idea of having a bike that was still under warranty. But I would still like to get one, I really like the aprilia line!

the italjet Dragester 50. L.C will do 55mph stock unrestricterd.
and the Aprilla GP1 will do 60mph stock or at lest i have herd 60

I can't believe anyone would want a slow scooter.
Even an excop! Slow is very dangerous. You need power to get out of bad situations. Plus it's alot more fun!

well, here's the scoop so far.

55mph is B.S.

I weigh 225. On flat ground it will eventually (long time coming) wrap the speedo to 47. On a downhill, I have seen 55, but it slowed back to 50 on the flat (and stayed there until the next hill). Acceleration is pitiful.

I haven't verified the speedo, and have heard that the Aprilia speedo is very optimistic.

I've got a 70cc TP cylinder and a 19mm carb on the way. Once I get it jetted right and running good, I'm gonna start playing with the variator.
