Anybody know of any free body mods that can be done, maybe not free but at least under $20. I'm running out of ideas and wanna just have something to do.

Thanks,
Andy

stripping panels...

I'm thinking of removing as much of the panels as I can and still have it functional...

I might even relocate the battery to the seat area so I can remove all the panels under the floorboard...

jered, why would you want to take the floorboards out? for speed reasons taking that underbody off would make you slow down due to more wind resistance.

the front fender, underfloor board and battery box...

basically to take off the 5 pounds the plastic takes...

Might not... but probably will... I'd like to figure how to take off 40 pounds off the scooter... so it's easier to pull the front off the ground...

what the heck makes the vino so much lighter?

the vino has a much lighter frame compared to a zuma. also the rims and tires are lighter than a zuma too. dont forget though that the forks on a vino are less "beefy". i guess after all that it becomes lighter.

I hate how the bug eye front end weighs a LOAD. That's why I love my prebug, for the wheelies. I still think the bug eye rides way smoother though.

-Back on topic-

Any other free mods besides spray painting/removing.

I have euro's in the front. I (smoked) my rear turning signals, and am relocating the entire thing so i can remove the luggage rack. Relocation requires me to drill in the plastic tub panel, but I have a spare set with cracks that a friend gave me, so I'll just put all those on so i can mess around without worrying about cracks.

Any other ideas guys?

I took the front blinks off and put ones on the body... put the rear blinkers in the tail light...

that's about it...

2-toned Gel grips add a nice touch...and the gel feels great for longer rides ::handleba

I have a prebug, no blinkers in tail light for me. And I already have flush mounts in the front. Grips sound nice, but the stock prebug grips don't bother me at all.

I guess i'm just running out of ideas.

I don't know how cheap you can get a dirtbike fender on ebay, but I ended up paying ~$30 for mine, and maybe you can get one for under $20. You'll also have to make some front brackets for it out of metal stock from the Hardware store, which is about $6 maybe. That's a cool body mod. It takes patience, a vice, drill, and hammer to get the brackets right and you'll need a couple nuts and bolts to go down through the battery pan and bolt to. Oh yeah, and the old fender piece is a pain to remove, you have to take out just about everything, but I've had mine out for so long that I forget exactly how hard it was. But just get the dimensions from the seller before you bid. Get the width, length straight from one end to the other, and the length of the arc from one end to the other.
