Has anyone mounted a water bottle holder to their scooter? I was thinking of mounting a bicycle bottle cage to the center post but wasn't sure of the best way to mount it.
I don't really want to drill holes in it and I'm not sure a clamp on type would work.
Any ideas?

I have one that I mounted by taking out the screw that is dead center of the legshield and using that hole. I did have to modify the bottle holder a little to make it fit well but nothing too difficult. I keep a Pabst Blue Ribbon beer can in mine. The can is one of those that has been modified as a safe so the top unscrews. I got it from a webside that sells plain sight safes. I keep extra cigarettes in it.

Zuma has one built in-
good to take a plastic gatoraide bottle, fill it 2/3 way with H20 and freeze it while it is laying on it's side.
When I go riding I fill the rest of the bottle with H20 and it will stay cold for most of my trips.

Not that you use them if you're using a FF helmet!

Then you can use your "camel pack" and clip the tube to your chin strap...

I don't use a FF helmet.
I do it because I am cheap. Well not cheap but hate paying $2 for bottled water- what 80% or some thing of the world is covered in.

NO FF?
You know you can get a FF DOT helmet for less than $40.00...
I got a NICE NICE!!!! FF that is SNELL and DOT certified for $65 something....
Think about the loss of your chin.... I have a buddy who ground off over 1/2 of his helmet in a wreck from 65mph... his chin part was almost all gone... his chin would have been gone....
Sorry went on a tantrum... FF is a good thing... I know they are hot and all but SO much safer!

FF is safer but I like to live on the edge...
J/K- I just like the 1/2 and willing to chance the danger with the type, style and area I ride in I think I am good to go. I know anything can happen at any time but for the most part I feel like I should be ok.

I have a FF Flip up Nolan helmet so at lights I can flip my lid chug-a-lug and be on my way with safety and style. I also just purchased a half helmet from the ebay store Vintage Style Helmets. It is a sweet looking half that is silver with a black stripe to match my baby. It looks like a Davida without breaking the bank. They have a number of cool styles there so I recommend them. Oh, yeah the helmet isn't DOT approved but is PCS certified which is the Jap DOT equivalant.

I made it a point to have all my gear Jpn certified in case I go to visit my contact there.

I like fluffy kittens! :D
Actually the helmet thing issue was part of the water bottle thing since it was a possible issue for actually using the water bottlw!

I'm not a cat person. But I had fabricated a cup holder last year but I need to make a new one. It was a bad design too small.

I won't have a pet that needs assistance taking a crap. If there is one thing I hate that's an animal that's Dependant on ya. Cats don't need to be let out to poop, can hunt for food, and doesn't require constant attention. Dogs are always clawing at your pants, and slobbering on lap and sniffing your crotch. I already have Elise to do all that, why does she need competition from a labadore, right? (She's going to beat me when she read this :) )
ANYCASE, getting back to the topic, anyone have any other ideas on the water bottle holder for jered?

I installed a bottle cage on my Vino. Had to have the top part of the attaching part of the cage sawed off to fit properly. Here's the link to the yahoo group. Go to the photos section to the Vino Cover folder, Susan's Vino. if you click on the full size view, you can get a better look.

Freezing water in a plastic bottle is bad! The plastic (when frozen) releases dioxins into the water which cause cancer big time. So does microwaving stuff in plastic or using saran wrap in the wave. John Hopkins Univeristy just released a new study concerning this, it was scary !

Man, cancer <--- you get it from breathing, eating, drinking... next they'll tell us that pooping in the wrong place causes cancer!

How about a "drink" holder for a Zuma?
Perhaps that big shiny screw in the upper middle of the "knee shroud" and one of the marine swivel holders???

thats is perfect! From what I hear, that screw is used in overseas markets for a hook.

The TN'G Venice has a hefty chrome "helmet hook" on that big shiny screw in the middle of the leg shield. (Close inspection does suggest it's there to hold something Yamaha didn't want.) As an experiment, I had the TN'G "dealer" around the corner order me one for $1.75 and after a little adjusting of the alignment pin with a file, presto! a hook I haven't put anything on yet. It's hollow too, so you could tie stuff to it if you wanted to. Maybe someday I'll put something else there.

The marine type holder on second thought would not pass my "Silence is Golden" rule...it would wobble and hit the plastic and make all kinds o' racket.
BUT! I will take a perfect from ya Lennox!
I will come up with sumthin fo sho tho!
Yeah a Martini glass holder!
Okie version: use that shiny screw to screw a good ole coffee can to the knee sheild thang. Paint the can to match.
What do you call the different parts of a scoot? Leg sheild?
I bet metal coffee cans are gonna be a thing of the past soon. Just my.02
