move the battery

anyone have any tutorials on moving the battery on a '04 zip? I've heard of people removing the oil reservoir and putting the battery there, but I'd really like to put in under the floor boards. Anyone know how to do this?

well, If you wanted to put the battery under the floor boards you would have to rig some kind of mounting bracket for it and then reroute the wires that go the the terminals down to the new location....probably have to add some length to them so they would reach.

if you want to reloctate the batt to under your feet you will have a tough time for a couple of reasons. the main one is that your alarm reciever and cdi sit under there so you would have to find a new location for those and have to lengthen the wires coming from the stator to the cdi. the other thing is that you would have to fully replace the batt wires because they wont reach. many people on here have wanted to change the location but havent due to the fact so much work is needed.
