My son has lost the key to his scooter. To get it running what wires on the ignition do we connect.
There is one set of three wires and a seperate red and a seperate black/white.

This is a project scooter for my son and he needs the seat and the plastic that goes under and around the seat. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

Disconnect the black/white wire.

will that enable all of the electrical to work? I do know that connecting the black/white will ground the engine and shut it off, but He also needs the electrical to work until he gets a key made.

Thanks

The brake light won't work, I don't know about the turn signals and all that but I know for sure the brake light won't work. I ride mine like that sometimes if I lose the key, lol.

basically you want it hot wired?

You can install a switch (rocker style) by taking the wires off the ignition switch and placing them on the rocker switch. So in the off position the engine dies and the on position it has power including the brakes and turn signals.

But it'd be REALLY easy to run off with so hide the switch if you can...

Which wires, the bnlack/white should be the ground wire ( you should need a 2 way switch (with 3 clips on the back) then you need to simply play with the wires to see which starts it by the other 2 switches...

look at it and make sure everything looks right... before you buy the rocker switch... then make sure you get the right one as you might need a 4 prong one but just look...

The hot wire for tail light and gauges should be brown. No problem to jump it to the battery.
