I just purchased the vino turn signals from PROVO.
Any help on the install would be awesome.
I also bought the chrome rims and tires.
Any help there would be great to.
I'm pretty good mechanically but prefer advice from those great people that have done the work also. It's a 2001 vino
Thanks Chreaus

Its pretty straight forward. The blank caps need to be removed where the jap-style will be installed and hook up the wiring. Remove the old sigs at the posts (inside the haedlight shroud, and inside the black taillight housing).

Thanks. I'm gonna give it a go this weekend. Still highly impressed on how quick my order was processed.
Was checking out the pics in your garage(erich). you take the blanks out front and rear? Iguess I'll find out soon enough.
Any more info is helpful.

I didn't think the signals stuck out as much in the rear.
Any one with a pic would help out.
erichs pics were a little to far away to see clearly (his Garage)
Thanks

Don't know if these help. Images courtesy of Simon2001. It's 0130 AM EST so I can't exactly go out to the scooter barn to get shots.

Thanks KING
The second pic is great. I'll have to remove them when I paint to make the whole fender look good.
Regarding the first pic.
Do you think I can buy just the rear panel in that diagram? I think the theives rode doubles on the luggage rack, an cracked the panel in about six spots.
I've seen that piece priced on a parts list from some shop in Seattle but didn't try to buy it. I have also heard you must buy it as awhole kit. (side panels)

Not sure, I seem to recall that the fenders are sold as a set.

I posted this thread a while back
And am just now getting to the final install
Thanks for any help previously. I did not realize the extent of this project.
Am I doing it the hard way?
Remove front head light panel and loosen leg shield just to see the spot to rerun signal wire. Then find new screws because old screws that held in blank won't tighten down the new lights. also the colors on the wires don't match so watch them . I guess this all came together as I took the scoot apart. But I was under the impression it was a little easier.
I still need to get new screws, then I'll be done with the front.
The back was alittle easier cause I needed to remove my rear panel anyway.
I guess as long as U feel comforatble lengthening a wire your set on this.
Just alot of my thoughts here.
Keep on Scootin

Yeah you know it's funny when I got the OEM replacement tail light an actual Yamaha part the wires were colored backwards and my brake light would dim. But yes you're right the turn signals were not such a simple install, since on the Vino you need to remove the body to install them.

Hey Chreaus
I've been thinking about ordering the Japanese style turn signals and trying to install for a fall project. I emailed Provo & asked if they came with instructions & Eric said no, but they were easy to install.
So, is it longer than an afternoon's worth of work. I though I could just unscrew the ovel paltes and wire the new ones in. I also read somewhere the wires weren't long enough and had to be extended.
Anyone have detailed instructions on thsi install??
Thanks:)
