Hello everyone,
I have a 2002 MZ Mosikto SX (uses the yamaha-mineralli h motor) and I recently had the almost equlivanet of a stage 2 installed on it. 70cc Airsal, 19mm arreche carb, technigas RS pipe, technomotor variator, clutch springs.. I think thats it. Everything but the airbox i believe. I had it installed professionaly by a local scooter shop. When I got it back he said he couldnt get it to work with an auto choke, so he installed a manual choke on it. The problem is, one day a week or so, the scooter will not start no matter what. Choke on, choke off, no gas, with gas, kick start, electric start. Nothing. I've tried, let it sit for a couple of hours and tried again and still no avail. But then magically some time later (many many hours) or the next day it will start up. I tested a lot of the normal things, it was getting gas the plug was sparking and what not. It doesnt even sound like it wants to start... Basically just turning over. I checked the kill switch and it was ok too. The times it does start if I give it gas to early it sometimes bogs down and dies, unless i let it "warm-up" about a minute with the choke on, then start driving for about 3 or 4 mins and turn the choke off. I live in FL (0 altitude, 85 degrees F). I was reading about changing the jet size on this forum. I called the shop and he said there was a 75 (or so, i can't remember exactly what he said but it was in the 70s). I'm not sure if theres anything else you would need to know, I'm dropping it back off at the shop tomorrow or the next day for him to figure it out.... but he sounded like he had no idea what could be wrong..

Thanks for any help you can give, and if you need to know anything else I will promptly reply if i know the answer.

Thanks in advance,
Tim

First off, I would up-jet. You say you have the stock airbox? This is probably your problem. When I did my stage2 I started with the stock box and it would barely run. I slowly drilled holes bigger and bigger and finaly slopped at about 3/4 of an inch. I would rejet though too!!
