I've got an Italjet 50 2t. Its basically the same scooter as the Piaggio Liberty and has the same motor as the Vespa 2t. Anyway, its got about 1800 miles on it now and its started to have performance problems. Its running about 5 mph slower, even at its best, and has a real hard time running at full throttle. It sort of just gives up when I give it gas, especially after its just been started. I don't know if it just needs a new fuel filter, or if the carbuerator needs cleaning, or what. Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks,

Bob

Before I make my primary reply, let me first say welcome to the forums Bob. I have this bitter-sweer love for these scooters. I love the ItaliJets and, I think the Dragster is the single most innovative design in the history of scootering and one of the best performing as well.

With that said, they are the biggest pain in the balls in t he world, support is non-existent and ItaliJet is no more. And I wouldn't expect IndiaJet the new company to be any better. ItaliHet's quality was on par with Geely, so it amazes me that they ever pulled off the engineering to begin with yet alone production. Even though it has a Piaggio motor, they were just assembled poorly.

I'm sure there's a way to fix this, we have a couple of modern Vespa guys on here who may the know setup better than I do, so I wish you luck on getting it running, they were beautiful scooters.
