Is this the 2006 Triton? Where can I find the web site to get info on this? It seems that all the Vento dealers that I have found only show the 2005 models. It is a great looking ride. o_o

that has to be the '06 because the motorcycle shop down the street from me only has the '05's and they don't look like that at all. i have to say that yours looks really good compared to the older ones. i prefer the digital speedo instead of a normal needle one.
if you could give me some info through a pm i would love it, thanks!!

I emailed a Vento dealer that I have talked to before and was informed that this is the GT5 Trition and is in fact a 2005 model. He said the 06s won't be available until December. He also gave a price of $1575.00 w/free shipping. He said the GT5 was just released a few days back. I think I am about to buy my second scoot. The specs are apparently the same as the Triton R4i but he said it is supposed to be a little faster. :yippy:

I just took delivery of my new GT5 today. I spent all afternoon unpacking and setting it up and now it is about to rain. I had no problems with any of the install but am missing what looks to be an M4 lock nut for the pivot and park brake on the left. I'll pick one up later. Everything fired up and ran great right off the line. I did make a short run (about 1/2 mile) and am impressed so far. I love having digital instruments (including the tach). The remote start and security even worked flawlessly right away. The exhaust doesn't sound bad and I was told by the dealer that it is the Italian (Silverstone I think) pipe. I looks great all chrome with the red silencer. I am impressed with the fit and finish of the product and the price makes me wish I had ordered one sooner.
I ordered it last Thursday and received it this morning. Not bad including a holiday. The delivered price was $1575.00 including shipping. Much to my surprise they sent me a new full face helmet and a cover. Never ordered anything this big on the net but am pretty pleased so far. I'll post more after the rain goes away and I get to ride some. Definitely a sproty looking bike.

cool!
To bad about the rain storm...hehe.....I have heard good reviews of the GT5's so far. Only problem being some defective gauge consoles that are being replaced under waranty. Let us know some top speed #'s when you get it broken in.

i too have been thinking about getting this new gt5 and staging the crap outta this thing. i like the digital stuff but i figure with the parts i'm getting that i will be maxxing out that tach pretty soon. i love my zip but i really prefer the bigger size of the gt5. so how long exactly did it take for you guys to get it once you ordered it? have fun riding the new scoots!!!

I ordered it Thursday afternoon (6/30/2005) and got it before lunch today. Really fast considering Monday was a holiday. I managed to get out for a short ride before dark and was really pleased. I didn't go wot but played around half to three quarter and was amazed. I think my stock 05 Zuma has much greater bottom end but I found myself accelerating up hills that usually slow my Zuma down. I also hit over 50 on a good down hill and was holding back to less than 3/4 throttle. I don't think it would take much to make this thing a 60+ scooter.

yeah the silverstone exhaust is standard on the ventos but the GT5 has a stock expansion pipe wich is cool, also the color matched helmet and the cover are also standard equiptment on the ventos when new

The weather has finally let me ride some on the GT5 and I am happy with it so far. I just went past the 60 mile mark and it rides and pulls real well. My Zuma is definitely quicker off the line but can't touch the GT on top. I ran mostly 3/4 trottle and was hitting 45ish on the flat. I did open it wot down a long but graual hill and the digital hit the 60 mark before I let up. No strange noises or vibrations yet and it took less than 1 gallon to fill it back up. I still think scooters are pushing the envelope when you go much faster than 55 to 60. I am still in a learning curve on this one so I don't push in the turns yet. Plus the tires are the CS road tires and I don't know how much to trust them. I am still going to get a gps to check my speeds since I don't know how accurate the speedo is on either of the scooters. The seat is not a whole lot more comfortable than the Zuma but the floor board is better allowing more comfortable position for my big feet. I also found that sitting up on the rear of the seat I can place my feet on the rear pegs much more comfortably that the Zuma. Feels much like a sport bike. I decided to break it in the same as I did the Zuma and not totally baby it. I have always run my new bikes during breakin much the same as I would normally ride them. The exhaust note takes some getting use to. It sounds much like an angry bumble bee much amplified. Definitely louder than the stock Zuma. It was pretty hot out so I think I will go back out later tonight for some more miles and to check out the lighting system. I found it strange the GT lights have three settings- off, daylight, and full on. I have to be careful in NC because the law requires lights on at all times. Now I really have to do some planning as to how I want to mod each scoot. Oh well, decisions, decisions. More later. ::handleba

I will pm you the web site right away. The stats for the GT5 are about the same as the reg Triton R4i and don't exactly match the actually GT5, the differences are minimal. One pleasant surprise that I didn't catch in the specs, comes with a side stand. Do all Ventos come this way?

yep all ventos have sidestands and center stands
its kinda funny the yammys hardly come with any options and are slower from stock but cost soo much more, just for a name (well and awesome support where ever you go, but eh)
