It's been sittin all winter so could that be a problem? my buddies took a long time to start after minter but it did. mine wont. i changed all the gas and oil but still nothin. Can someone help me out here??? Thanks

the spark plug is sparking and i'm not sure how to tune the carb. They said the stock carb would work for the 70 c.c. kit but it didn't flow enough gas so i bought a bigger one like suggested. Any tips on how to tune the carb, areche 19 m.m., or any other ideas as to why it wont start would be greatly appreciated.

what i meant by runs but wouldn't go was it would go just not faster than 5 mph. It didn't get enough gas/air, which is why i bought the new carb. But i still haven't gotten it to start. But thanks for tryin to help lennox.

It hasn't run at all with the new carb? Start by turning the mixture screw out 1 full turn from all the way in. Turn the idle screw in half a trun from where it is. Pull the choke and kick away. Open the throttle some if u want.

so i finally got it to start by adjusting the slide needle. But now it dies if i'm not constantly on the gas. Anybody have any ideas as to why? It seems like it doesn't get enough air because when i take off the airbox it seems to pick up faster.

are you still running the stock airbox or a unifilter type?

We really need a lot more info from you. Which exhaust are you running with? Which 70cc kit? You say a 19mm Arreche carb, what sizemain jet? Pilot jet? Which clip is your needle on? What is your air screw set to? Which air filter are you using? If stock, is the filter element clean and properly oiled?
It sounds like you have not properly dialed in your carburettor, hence the funny running. Have you done any plug chops? Main jet is about 3/4 to full throttle. Needle position is about 1/4 to 3/4. Pilot jet and air screw deal with idle to 1/4 throttle transition. Do a plug chop in each of these ranges to see if that particular circuit is rich or lean. Then adjust carb appropriately.
As a base starting point, I believe the Arreche 19mm as-delivered comes with a 65 main jet, 20 pilot (could be 15, don't recall), needle in the middle clip, and the air screw 1.5 turns out. That should get you running enough to fine-tune.
Also, what is your idle speed set to? Remember these are little two-strokes and like to spin, idle is supposed to be 1800rpm.
Give us more info, and I am sure someone can point you in the right direction.
Good luck!

You could drill out the cover of your Air-Box till that filter shows up....that 19mm needs more Air!!

ok so i got the unifilter on and it starts and idles fine. i did a plug check at full throttle and it was black and dry and the engine cuts out at about 35 mph. Does this mean i need a bigger main jet? and if so where can i get one?
