Long story short... my back was fractured about 10 years ago in a motorcycle (Honda Helix, actually) accident and I am now in near constant pain riding my Zuma. I stayed off it all last week and felt fine, but rode it this weekend and the pain has returned. I am considering selling the kit I purchased for it and giving the scoot to my nephew for college.

I purchased the stage I kit from Provoscooter with the chrome pipe ($10.00 adder) and the extra-light rollers ($10.00 adder) for $250.00. I installed it and lost performance. I used it for about 2 miles of testing before running out of time to work on it (my job and out of state visitors have taken most of my free time this summer). It has been sitting in the box, now for about 2 months, with the intent of re-installing and troubleshooting the system.

Erich from Provoscooter has been exemplary in his offers to help me troubleshoot the system and I thank him for his offers, but, honestly, if I cant keep the scooter, I see no point in taking the time to tune this system.

I am curious if anyone is interested in my kit- price would be negotiable; lets strike a deal on a great kit that is nearly new! I am hoping to sell to a knowledgeable buyer as there seems to be quite a bit of fine-tuning required (as I have seen by my experience and some other posts out there).

Also, anybody interested in a 2003 Zuma, please feel free to let me know- I am going to speak with my brother-in-law about giving it to my nephew, but if they are against it, I will be selling it as well. It is in nearly perfect condition- I added the Yamaha windshield and also have the kevlar belt from Provoscooter- it is not on the scooter; I bought it with the kit and will sell it as well- either with the kit or with the scooter.

I also have 2 full face helmets (HJC CJ13's) that I may keep or sell if the offers come.

any interest???

I know the back troubles, when I totaled my CBR1000F I lost my knees and my job on the force, so I feel for ya.

We spoke...

Its not the end of the world... I can install and Erich has offered to help troubleshoot; I may have to take him up on it.

I would just rather see the kit go to an enthusiast rather than upping my scooter price and selling it to somebody who doesnt care either way.

I understand... It's for a Zuma? How much are you looking to get from it?

PM me if you don't want to post it on the thread...

Is it from Erich? So the original cost was $229.00

The next question is would you sell parts seperate than in the "stage one kit"?

I might go for the variator and the pipe... As spares for the var and for a different pipe...

Yup, its for the Zuma- its the 229.99 kit, but I added the chrome pipe and the extra light rollers (10 bucks each) for a total of 249.99. I am hoping to see about $150 for the kit, mainly cuz I dont see upping my asking price more than that with the kit when I sell the Zuma.

I guess I could part the kit, but the kit is pretty much the pipe and the variator- I dont understand what else can be done to split it up if you want both of those components.

yeah... I guess... I really don't need the springs and weights... however I can't see you doing any better than the price your offering already...

I'll let you know after payday if I can get it... however Not totally sure I can swing the cash... I maxed out my tuning budget with ERich... after $1000... the wife said she'd kill me if I keep going..!

ya know...

Zumadesire, I am quite interested in the kit you are selling, as some of you may know, as often as I say it, I just bought my '05 zuma a couple of days ago and am looking to go to stage 1, I would be delighted to purchase the kit from you, but the only draw back is I would have 2 weeks before attaing the cash for it, therefore if you do not recieve any serious offers from now until my next payday, on October 8th (yes a long ways away) then I would be thrilled to purchase your kit from you, please pm me, or IM my yahoo account with further details. Happy hunting!

Any ideas if this would fit a vino????????

Should I ask Erich about the fit ??????????

as i understand it, the engines are identical and the kit is identical as well... whats more, the vino's tend to take to the upgrades easier- many zuma owners have to do some major adjusting and tweaking to get them to work well... I would bet the parts list is identical for both kits- mine DOES have the metrakit pipe, though- Erich was out of the others for a while and was including these.

anybody else confirm???
