Long story short... my back was fractured about 10 years ago in a motorcycle (Honda Helix, actually) accident and I am now in near constant pain riding my Zuma. I stayed off it all last week and felt fine, but rode it this weekend and the pain has returned. I am considering selling the kit I purchased for it and giving the scoot to my nephew for college.
I purchased the stage I kit from Provoscooter with the chrome pipe ($10.00 adder) and the extra-light rollers ($10.00 adder) for $250.00. I installed it and lost performance. I used it for about 2 miles of testing before running out of time to work on it (my job and out of state visitors have taken most of my free time this summer). It has been sitting in the box, now for about 2 months, with the intent of re-installing and troubleshooting the system.
Erich from Provoscooter has been exemplary in his offers to help me troubleshoot the system and I thank him for his offers, but, honestly, if I cant keep the scooter, I see no point in taking the time to tune this system.
I am curious if anyone is interested in my kit- price would be negotiable; lets strike a deal on a great kit that is nearly new! I am hoping to sell to a knowledgeable buyer as there seems to be quite a bit of fine-tuning required (as I have seen by my experience and some other posts out there).
Also, anybody interested in a 2003 Zuma, please feel free to let me know- I am going to speak with my brother-in-law about giving it to my nephew, but if they are against it, I will be selling it as well. It is in nearly perfect condition- I added the Yamaha windshield and also have the kevlar belt from Provoscooter- it is not on the scooter; I bought it with the kit and will sell it as well- either with the kit or with the scooter.
I also have 2 full face helmets (HJC CJ13's) that I may keep or sell if the offers come.
any interest???
