I am in the process of replacing the Crank Seals on my 02 Derbi Alantis (Derbi Engine). I am stuck on how to get the Magneto off. Does anybody have any sugestions? Would a gear puller work, or is that just going to tear the magneto apart?

it is most likely held on by a "woodruff key" and a puller should work fine.

is a half moon shaped "chunk" of metal that fits in a groove on the shaft.

If it breaks, can it be replaced?

No, the '02 Derbi Atlantis was a unique design in particular as it's magneto was
actually made out of unicorn horns spun on an enchanted lathe.
And, as everyone knows, unicorns are now extinct, so this guy is
officially (not to mention metaphorically) up a river without a paddle.
